HOME ALONE

I want to touch the center of your soul
Offer up my universe in exchange
That includes the skeletons in my closet
If you share your dark secrets in the daylight

Judge and jury can’t live in this space
Family got their own real estate
We have to carve out a land of milk & honey and love
And put up a fence to keep the haters out

We’ll probably lose friends in the process
Who were haters in sheep’s clothing…
Unmasked at the birth of our happiness
Be gone, dead wrong, sad song
You want to destroy what you desperately want for yourself

Ohh well…
Put the sold sign in the yard
This house is off the market
So are we
Home alone at last
