Morning Thoughts

I'm cold until I think of you
Then I take the covers off
You're too hot for words
My life devoid of you, absurd

Sunrise hopes to see you
As much as I do
You brighten anything, anywhere
And anybody that has a heart

But thanks to your love
I'm living in illumination
Called relationship
In it forever because I won't quit

I still believe in love
The power it possesses
The return on its own investment in me

When it's right
You know it but...
You wait for the other shoe to drop
See if it fits the mood and moment

Love is outstanding
when it's showing off
Showing me how to love
Or how satisfaction is just the beginning

Either way in love I'm winning
If love is representing you
And calling on me
To close the deal
